This year, new holiday gift cards with special Disney pins are arriving at the parks this month, and each of the pins are an exclusive limited release. Annie Lin, business development analyst with Disney Theme Park Merchandise says:
This year’s Disney Gift Card series was inspired by a visit to the seasonal showroom at Disney Theme Park Merchandise. Similar to previous years, we wanted a series of four cards that, when assembled, made a complete picture. During my visit, my leader and I saw some artwork featuring Mickey Mouse nutcrackers and thought they would make great pins.
Partnering with Katie Meehan from Disney Gift Card Services and artist Angela Connelly, Lin helped create the backgrounds for the gift cards and even made sure one card contained a nod to real Disney merchandise already available in the parks. The “Happy Holidays” gift card contains images of the Goofy holiday Vinylmation figure, as well as Duffy the Disney Bear and Chip ‘n Dale in plush form.
If you’re unsure what to give your loved ones this year, one of these exclusive Disney gift cards may be just the thing! The cards will be available towards the end of November at various retailers at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as Downtown Disney in California; Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Park.
