Fans of award-winning producer Jerry Bruckheimer have a chance to meet him at a special book signing at the Disneyland Park on December 14.

Bruckheimer will be signing copies of the new book Jerry Bruckheimer: When Lightning Strikes | Four Decades of Filmmaking by Michael Singer. The coffee table book showcases 40 years of Bruckheimer’s career in movies and television including his work hit movies such as Beverly Hills Cop, Armageddon, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The book features a foreword by Johnny Depp, an interview with Bruckheimer’s wife Linda, and an introduction by Bruckheimer. The author, Michael Singer, has worked with Bruckheimer on many film locations throughout the producer’s career. The stories in the book are accompanied by vivid color photographs.

The Walt Disney Company and Bruckheimer ended their partnership of more than two decades in September. Just prior to the split it was announced that the fifth installment in the Pirates franchise was put on hold. The Disney/Bruckheimer relationship resulted in 27 films, including the National Treasure films and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

At the time, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said Disney and Bruckheimer “[W]ill continue to work together in the future, and we look forward to seeing more of the films that have made Jerry Bruckheimer a Hollywood legend.”

The Bruckheimer book signing is scheduled for December 14 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Disneyana Shop on Main Street U.S.A. Guests can purchase the book beginning December 14 while supplies last and they will receive a voucher to return for the signing. Those wishing to have the book signed must purchase it on December 14. Purchases limits will apply and guests may have two items signed. Sales receipt and event voucher are required.
