small worldDisneyland is celebrating the 20th anniversary of it’s a small world Holiday, the popular seasonal overlay on the iconic attraction.

For the 20th anniversary guests will find at least half a dozen hidden 20s in the attraction which features 50,000 lights on the façade and 350,000 mini lights on the trees, hedges, and topiaries.

In all, more than 400,000 lights decorate it’s a small world during the holiday season.

The clock at the front of the attraction is decked out in a Santa hat and after dark it reveals a projection show presented by Siemens.

The special holiday effects inside the attraction include scents of fresh pine and peppermint, and hundreds of iridescent bubbles. The Christmas tree in the European scene features close to 150 giant candles.

The finale of the attraction includes a 14-foot snowman standing on top of a 10-foot snowflake.

The team creating this holiday sensation takes 35 days to install the façade and 18 days to decorate the interior.

Guests can enjoy it’s a small world Holiday throughout the holiday season.
