Kenneth Branagh In Talks to Direct Disney’s Live-Action ‘Cinderella’
When Disney broke the news that Mark Romanek would no longer be directing their live-action version of Cinderella, the fate of the highly anticipated film was unclear.
Now, media sources are reporting that the Mouse House is in negotiations with Kenneth Branagh to helm the movie. If all goes well, Cinderella should start shooting in London this fall.
Cate Blanchett is also still slated to take on the role of the wicked stepmother, although Disney is still searching for the perfect fit for the lead role. If all goes according to plan, the film should hit theaters sometime in 2014.
We’ll let you know when more information becomes available.
