LEGO Imagination Center Reopens in Downtown Disney

Much to the delight of fans everywhere, the LEGO Imagination Center at Downtown Disney reopened last week – and there are many renovations to check out!

Before you even enter the store, you’ll notice huge LEGO statues flanking the perimeter. Brickley, the sea serpent, still remains standing guard in the nearby lake, while the popular LEGO family walking its dogs remain as well. Additionally, visitors can now take photographs with Maleficent in dragon form, as well as Buzz Lightyear and Woody; Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and even Bambi and Thumper!

Other improvements include the old outdoor play patio. While originally it stood on the side of the building next to T-Rex, it has been moved to the entrance adjacent to World of Disney. Kids will love this new and improved play area, because there are tubs of LEGOS to let their creativity shine, as well as a raised slope for better racing.

Once you actually enter the store, you’ll notice it seems a lot more spacious than it was previously. Computers are set up for kids to design LEGO structures and play games, and there’s an additional play table tucked inside a separate room that’s filled with more LEGOS.

Of course, the LEGO Imagination Center still offers the world’s largest Pick-A-Brick wall, as well as plenty of LEGO playsets on display.

The one thing that was removed is the outdoor play structure for preschoolers, but hopefully all of these new renovations and improvements work to counteract the one potentially negative change.
