Marvel and Disney Team Up to Create New Comic Book for Children’s Hospitals

marvel comicDisney and Marvel have teamed up with Child Life Council to create a limited-edition comic book specifically for pediatric hospital patients.

This team effort is in honor of Compassion Month and the comic books are meant to provide the young patients with some entertainment to make their hospital stay less scary.

The story in the comic book features Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Falcon. The Avengers are assembling to battle an alien invader named Fin Fang Foom. The story was developed by writer Jim Zub and artist Wellington Alves.

Kids are encouraged to identify the heroes in their lives while enjoying the comic book. There’s also a fold-out poster at the end of the comic book that can be removed from the book.

This new comic book will be sent to children’s hospital in North America and a digital version will alos be available.

The comic books are part of a Disney care package that will also contain DVDs, books, toys, memberships to Club Penguin, and Disney Junior resources. Disney is also providing Child Life Council with a monetary grant.
