Marvel Comics is introducing the Haunted Mansion series as part of its Disney Kingdoms comics that include stories based on other attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and characters like Figment.

The Haunted Mansion comics were written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Jorge Coehlo. The cover of the first book, Haunted Mansion #1, was drawn by E.M. Gist. The first book introduces readers to the 999 ghosts at the mansion.

Marvel and Disney Imagineers work together on the Disney Kingdoms series to make sure the theme park attractions and characters are translated into the books as they should be. Fans can expect to see the Hatbox Ghost and even the bride in the Haunted Mansion stories.

The first book, Haunted Mansion #1, will be available in March 2016. Other books based on the Haunted Mansion will be published next year by Disney Publishing Worldwide.
