magic kingdomThe metal detectors that are currently located just outside the gates for the Magic Kingdom are on the move.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the metal detectors will be located at the Transportation and Ticket Center beginning next Monday.

Guests who drive to the Magic Kingdom and arrive at the TTC will go through the metal detectors prior to boarding the Monorail or ferry boat.

The guests who arrive to the Magic Kingdom via Monorail or ferry boat will not need to go through security once they reach the theme park. However, guests arriving via bus will still need to go through bag check and metal detectors.

Guests who are staying at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will go through security at the resorts’ Monorail stations.

There is currently no change for security procedures at the other three theme parks at Disney World.
