It was an eventul week at Disney Parks.
First, rides at Disneyland were temporarily shut down to investigate smoke coming from behind the scenes. And then on Saturday, a vehicle hit a monorail support pillar in the Epcot Center’s parking lot at Walt Disney World, forcing officials to halt monorail operations while they investigated.
The SUV ran into the pillar around 3 p.m. on Saturday. Disney crews shut down operations to the skyway rail for about 40 minutes to ensure that no damage was done to the line during the accident. No injuries were reported.
