Name and Opening Season Announced for New Restaurant in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion

The new Signature dining location in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion has a name and an opening season.

The restaurant – Takumi-Tei – is scheduled to open this summer!

The restaurant’s name means “house of the artisan,” and according to Disney “the design celebrates the relationship between Japanese craftsmanship and the natural world, while the food is inspired by the wonderful collaboration between nature and takumi, the artisan.”

The menu will feature wagyu beef and guests can enjoy a multi-course tasting menu with a traditional tea service.

Takumi-Tei will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA – the group that also operates the restaurants, kiosks, and merchandise locations in the Japan pavilion.
