New Dining Options at Caribbean Beach Resort Amid Construction Project

New-Food-Area_Caribbean-Beach-Resorts-Dining-Updates_02-700x525The lengthy construction and renovation project at Disney’s Caribbean Resort has officially started and this means guests at the resort have several new dining options.

The renovation project led to the closure of the Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters, and the Calypso Trading Post. The Banana Cabana Pool Bar will also be closing.

Current dining options at the resort include a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet in an air conditioned tent area, the Superstar Catering Food Truck, and three “island markets” located in three villages at the resort.

While the breakfast and dinner buffets and the food truck provide hot food choices, the island markets are selling grab-and-go items (all cold). The refillable mugs are also available in the island markets, and Freestyle Coke machines are slated to be ready this weekend.

The breakfast and dinner buffets are considered a quick service meal on the Disney Dining Plan.

Later this summer a new quick service window is supposed to open in the Trinidad village area.

This construction project is slated to last at least through 2018.
