New Disney App Helps Children Learn Chinese

2 May 2012 No Comment

Disney Publishing has always been heavily involved in teaching English via their “Disney English” brand of language learning products, which are sold globally and at 31 language learning centers in China.

Now, Disney Publishing has increased their language learning product arsenal with a new digital app to help children learn Chinese. The new app features the international teaching method Diglot Weave.

Dubbed Learn Chinese: Toy Story 3, the read along app is now available in the United States, Australia, China and 25 other countries through Europe and Asia. The story is told partially in the native language of the learner and partially in the language being taught – in this case, Chinese. Once a child’s proficiency has increased, the story will continue to progress in the foreign language until the entire story is read in the language being taught.

The app retails for $4.99 on the iPad.
