New LEGO Technology Set to Debut at Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Last year LEGO tested a new technology, called the “Digital Box Kiosk,” at it’s Walt Disney World retail location. In hopes of boosting popularity of the stores and increasing revenue LEGO will soon be expanding this technology into 20 of it’s stores nationwide; including both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Downtown Disney stores.

According to Disneyology, when fans hold a LEGO package in front of the Digital Box Kiosk, they can see an animation on the screen of the completed LEGO project overlaid on the box in their hands. This works as a camera interfaces with the screen to create the illusion of the completed LEGO project residing on the box in the customers hands.
