New Locations Confirmed for Disney’s ‘Star Tours’

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the revamp of Star Tours at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, but new details are emerging as the debut date for the ride draws closer.

Last week, we reported the potential new locations to be introduced in Star Tours 2.0, and we are happy to say the new destinations have been confirmed! Riders will now be able to experience several new destinations.  In addition to Tatooine and Coruscant, new tours will also include the Wookiee planet of Kashyyyk, Naboo, the planet of Hoth, which we learned about in The Empire Strikes Back, and even the Death Star, which will be stationed above the planet Geonosis.

But that’s just the beginning of the fun.  Passengers will depart from a brand new spaceport, and in all, there will be more than 50 different voyages, as destinations combine in different story lines to give you a new adventure every time!

Eager fans who are awaiting this long-anticipated revamp of the 1980’s ride can expect Star Tours 2.0 to debut May 20 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, and on June 3 at Disneyland Park.
