Starting May 16, several new meet-and-greet experiences will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
First, The Magic of Disney Animation attraction will be changed to reflect Winnie the Pooh. This change was designed to promote Disney’s upcoming film, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, which hits theaters July 15. Visitors to the park will be able to meet Winnie the Pooh himself, and will also have the opportunity to view the making of the film.
Popular Disney channel characters Phineas and Ferb also make their debut at the park on May 16 in a new movie-themed play-and-greet. While here, fans will be able to obtain autographs and take pictures, as well as witness the dynamic duo making a movie about their often crazy adventures. This new interactive experience involves guests and Cletus Filmore – the “greatest movie Director in the Tri-State area,” to help Phineas and Ferb recreate some of their more adventurous moments.
Finally, guests will start noticing some changes at Luigi’s Garage, where Luigi and company are preparing for the upcoming release of Cars 2. Lightning McQueen will launch his own meet-and-greet! And beginning in June, guests will also notice his cameo appearance in the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show – it will replace Herbie the Love Bug’s scene. Never fear, though – fans of Herbie can still catch a glimpse of him during the Studio Backlot tour.
In addition, guests can take advantage of extra performances by Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy and the perennially popular Mulch, Sweat, & Shears during the busy summer months.
