New ‘Tangled Ever After’ Short to Debut in Front of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 3D

We recently let you know about the upcoming return of Beauty and the Beast to movie theaters. The film will be released in 3D in January 2012, and this week, Disney announced that audiences will be treated to an appearance by another favorite Disney princess at screenings of the film. Preceding each screening of Beauty and the Beast in 3D will be a brand new animated short featuring some of our favorite characters from the film Tangled.

Tangled directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard are behind the new short, which will pick up where the original film left off, and center on the royal wedding of Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) and Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi). A festive mood pervades over the Kingdom as they prepare for the royal wedding, but things take a turn for the worse when Pascal and Maximus (as flower chameleon and ring bearer, respectively) accidentally lose the wedding rings. The duo sets off on a rescue mission to recover the rings before anyone finds out they’ve gone missing, leading to comical chaos that audiences are sure to enjoy.

We can’t wait to see Rapunzel, Flynn, and our other favorite characters on the big screen once more, and airing the short before Beauty and the Beast seems like a perfect fit. Be sure to check out the new short when Beauty and the Beast in 3D arrives in theaters on January 13, 2012.
