Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard at Comic-Con to Promote ‘Kick Buttowski’ Cartoon

Although easily one of the tallest attenders at Comic-Con this weekend, Dwight Howard wasn’t looking to stand out necessarily…he was there to promote his cartoon and character, like so many other celebrities.

Howard, affectionately known as “Superman” to his fans because of his on court antics at the Orlando Magic’s center, also voices Rock Callahan on the Disney XD animated series Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil.  Callahan is a recurring character who serves as the idol for the title character, and stars in the movie-within-the-show, El Jaywalker.  He also happens to bear a striking resemblance to Howard, both physically and in fun-loving demeanor.

This was Howard’s first trip to Comic-Con, but it likely won’t be his last, as the NBA star has the opportunity to interact with fans – something he enjoys tremendously.

If you’d like to tune in and see Howard as Callahan, you can catch Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil at 8:30 a.m. Eastern on Disney XD.  In the meantime, here’s some video of the high flying basketball star at the mic, courtesy of The Orlando Sentinel.
