Party for the Planet Planned for April 22 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

disneysanimalkingdomtreeoflifeDisney’s Animal Kingdom is once again hosting a Party for the Planet on Earth Day – April 22 this year.

Guests visiting the park on Earth Day will have a chance to discover how to make their backyards wildlife friendly and learn how to connect with and conserve wildlife and nature.

At the front of the Animal Kingdom guest can stop by a display that features wildlife friendly backyard habitats and they can pick up a Party for the Planet postcard.

At Rafiki’s Planet Watch families can play a game to learn how their grocery purchases make a difference for wildlife, discover new ways to spend time together in natures, and find out more about the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.

There will also be face painters and caricature artists at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Guests will be able to purchase special Party for the Planet merchandise including a Safari-themed Duffy the Disney Bear. One dollar from each sale of Duffy will be donated to the National Park Foundation to celebrate Disneynature Bears, which opens in theaters on April 18.

Epcot is also celebrating Earth Day at The Seas with Nemo & Friends where kids can learn about sea turtles, conservation efforts to protect coral reefs, manatees, sharks, and other sea creatures.
