In the new Disney Channel television special Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars the boys find themselves in a parallel universe during Star Wars Episode VI: A New Hope.

The brothers are living one moisture farm away from Luke Skywalker on Tatooine when R2-D2 and the Death Star plans inadvertently fall into their speeder.

With the fate of the galaxy in their hands, the dynamic duo hire Isabella, Han Solo’s rival to help them return the plans to the Rebel Alliance. Low ranking Stormtrooper Candace is intent on busting them and retrieving the plans.

Along the way, Phineas and Ferb meet iconic Star Wars characters including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and R2-D2.

On the Death Star chaos ensues when Perry the Rebelpus is trapped in carbonite while trying to stop Darthenshmirtz from using the Sith-inator. Ferb is accidentally changed into a full-fledged Sith which leads to an all-out battle between the brothers.

Phineas and Ferb creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh make cameos in the special.

“Dan and Swampy have put their unique spin on the iconic events in A New Hope, and have created fun ways for the characters to interact within the Star Wars universe,” said Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.

Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars airs Saturday, July 26 on Disney Channel.
