Regal Sun to Become a Wyndham Resort

10 November 2010 No Comment

Wyndham now has a resort right in the middle of the magic.

The Regal Sun Resort, located just across from Downtown Disney at 1850 Plaza Boulevard, has adopted the Wyndham brand as of yesterday.  The property will be renamed The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort.

The hotel, one of the first built on Disney property in 1972, has undergone many name changes throughout its history.  First known as the Dutch Inn, it later became Americana’s Dutch Resort, and then the Grosvenor.  After undergoing a $25 million renovation in 2007, it became the Regal Sun Resort.

Although the hotels on Plaza Boulevard are not owned by Disney, they are considered official Disney hotels, owing to the fact that they are on property.
