Registration for The Florida Project Trading Event at Walt Disney World Opens Today

Registration for The Florida Project Trading event opens today, so guests who plan to attend this special event should register early and reserve a spot.

The event, which will run from September 9 to 11, 2011 will tie in to Walt Disney World’s 40th anniversary celebration. Pin traders and Vinylmation collectors will undoubtedly love this exclusive celebration, which will be held at the World Showcase in Epcot. Additionally, the event will feature retro designs from when the resort first opened in 1971!

Disney designer Chris Chapman wrote this about the event:

With the 40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in 2011, we wanted to focus on the feeling of nostalgia that people have when thinking about those early years.  The story for this event involves an alternate Preview Center that we uncovered. It was never used because the official Preview Center opened on Buena Vista Drive. The experience will be as if you stepped back in time as we will pay tribute to as much as possible from that era.

To register for the trading event, visit DisneyPins.com. Admission is $120, which includes plenty of fun extras such as a commemorative T-shirt, two $15 gift cards and exclusive opportunities to purchase limited-edition items. Extras can be added to the cost of admission, if desired, including a breakfast or dessert reception, for an additional $40.
