Replica of ‘Up’ House in Utah Has Sold

In July, we told you about a replica of Carl and Ellie’s house from the Disney film Up that was put on the market. Today, sources have announced that the home has been sold.

The couple who purchased the home, Clinton and Lynette Hamblin, are self-professed Disney fanatics. They said that finding this replica home was a “dream come true;” Lynette Hamblin also stated that “We just love the message of the movie – adventure is out there.”

Bangerter Homes, the creators of the Utah home, wanted to replicate the Up home because it plays an iconic role in the film. Adam Bangerter also said:

It illustrates what home ownership really is, and it’s not an investment. It’s part of the American dream to have a house to care for, to improve and to make part of your family.

Since the home went on the market, around 45,000 people have visited the home for tours and will continue to do so this month. On January 4, the Hamblin couple plan to move into their new home after closing – coincidentally, the date is also Lynette Hamblin’s birthday.
