Rose Bowl Teams Stanford and Michigan State Make Appearance at Disneyland Resort

The two teams facing off in the 100th Rose Bowl Game on January 1 made an appearance at the Disneyland Resort on December 26.

The No. 5 BCS-ranked Stanford Cardinal and the No. 4 BCS-ranked Michigan State Spartans took part in a special ceremony at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle.

Stanford coach David Shaw and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio appeared with members of their teams along with Disneyland Resort President Michael Colglazier, Mickey Mouse, and the Disneyland Band.

After the ceremony the teams were scheduled to appear at several areas around the Disneyland Resort including the Matterhorn Bobsleds and the Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.

The 100th Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO will be played in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day. The game will mark the second consecutive appearance by the Cardinal and their 14th appearance overall. The game is the Spartans fifth appearance in a Rose Bowl Game. The teams have met five times before with the Spartans leading the series 3-2.

Next week’s game will be the first time the teams meet at the Rose Bowl.
