Small Fire at Aulani Causes Damage to Unfinished Structure

Honolulu firefighters were called to the scene of a small fire at Disney’s Aulani Resort on Thursday.  The two-alarm fire caused approximately $20,000 damage in one of the towers of the resort, which is currently under construction and is set to open later this year. 

Construction workers began fighting the fire with extinguishers.  The fire was reported at 6:13 p.m., and was said to be extinguished by 6:39 p.m. 

The cause of the fire to is still unknown, and is being investigated.
