The Star Wars frenzy is starting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The all-new Star Wars Launch Bay opened Tuesday, December 1, at the theme park and fans have been lining up to get in.
The new walk-through experience is located at the former spot of the Magic of Disney Animation which closed forever this summer.
Fans visiting the Star Wars Launch Bay have a chance to check out movie memorabilia, props, and more. There’s also a short film – Star Wars: Path of the Jedi – where fans can check out 10 minutes of footage from the film.
Other new Star Wars additions include an updated version of the Jedi Training Academy which will feature characters from the new film beginning December 18 and a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens scene at the start of Star Tours – The Adventure Continues.
Guests can visit the new gift shop at the end of the Star Wars Launch Bay attraction and can even purchase a Darth Vader costume for just $4,000. Other items include T-shirts, a remote control BB-8, and a $9,000 Storm Trooper statue.
Construction on the new Star Wars land is expected to start in January.
