8 February 2012 No Comment

In the Walt Disney Imagineering ImagiNations Design Competition, held annually, a team of design students from Utah State University took 3rd place. The team was comprised of USU students Jason Cooper, Adam Dambrink and Philip Le Goubin, who were tasked with presenting a design based on a “futuristic Disney attraction on the moon in the year 3011.”

Their 3rd place winning design was “The Oneiro,” a seven-star luxury Disney Galactic Cruiseline ship that also enabled passengers to experience different levels of gravity while exploring Space.

The top three teams were awarded cash grants, with an additional $1,000 grant to the first place team. North Carolina State University took first as well as “Best In Show,” while Carnegie Mellon University earned the second place spot.
