‘Summertime is Storytime Campaign’ Brings Storytelling to Kids’ Fingertips

Summertime means school is out and kids just want to play outside, but parents know how important it is to keep their kids reading and engaged with learning.

To help with that sometimes challenging endeavor, Disney Publishing Worldwide has launched a nationwide reading campaign that brings storytelling to kids’ fingertips. The “Summertime is Storytime” campaign features Disney’s award-winning book apps including the Disney Storytime app, which is currently free in the App Store for a limited time.

Parents can visit the App Store and download the Disney Storytime app and they will receive three free stories – Toy Story: Starry Night, Tangled: Rapunzel’s Story, and Monsters, Inc: Always Time for a Laugh. Parents can also purchase up to 17 additional stories with the kid-safe credit system where parents purchase the credits but kids pick and unlock the stories.

Each week new stories will be released featuring favorite Disney characters and classic stories including Cars, 101 Dalmatians, and Disney’s Princesses.

The “Summertime is Storytime” campaign runs through August 22. Be sure to visit DisneyStorytime.com for more reading experiences this summer.
