Two Disneyland After Dark Events Announced for 2019

Disneyland After Dark is returning in 2019 with two special events – Sweethearts’ Nite on February 7 and 90s Nite on March 7.
Both events will take place at Disneyland with a mix-in access beginning at 6 p.m.
Sweethearts’ Nite on February 7 will include:

Love song-themed dance parties throughout the park, as well as a “Royal Ball” experience
Encounters with beloved Disney couples, including Eugene and Rapunzel, Aladdin and Jasmine, and of course, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
Immersive photo opportunities featuring romantic scenes from iconic Disney films.

Annual Passholder Gifts and More at the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts next week and Annual Passholders will find several perks, special gifts, merchandise, and more at the Festival.
There are two complimentary gifts for Passholders this year – a Chef Mickey magnet that is available to all Passholders at the Festival Center, and a Chef Mickey Cutting Board. The cutting board is available to Passholders upon their FOURTH visit to the Festival.

Registration Opens for Toy Story Land Passholder Playtime

Registration has opened for select Annual Passholders for the Toy Story Land Passholder Playtime.
Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Passholders should have received an email today with information on how to register for the Passholder Playtime event in September.
Select dates are available throughout the month of September with time slots from 7-8 a.m. and 8-9 a.m., with registered Passholders choosing their preferred date and time slot.
Reservations are available on a first come, first served basis.

New Florida Resident Annual Pass Announced for Disney World

Florida residents have a new option when purchasing their Annual Passes for Walt Disney World Resort – the Theme Park Select Pass.
This pass gives Passholders the ability to enjoy up to 325 days at select theme parks and at least 175 days at all four theme parks.
The blackout dates for the Theme Park Select Pass are currently:

Magic Kingdom on Saturdays
Epcot on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
Multiple theme parks during runDisney events

Disney may lift blackout dates from time to time.

Disney After Hours Announced for Magic Kingdom in 2018

The dates have been announced for the Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom for early 2018.
The dates are: January 19, 26, and 30; February 8 and 15; and March 1 and 8.
The hours for the After Hours event are 8-11 p.m. on the January dates and February 8, and 9 p.m. until midnight on the remaining dates.
Guests attending the After Hours event have the chance to ride up to 25 attractions at the Magic Kingdom including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and …

My Disney Experience App Now Tracks Disney Dining Plan Credits

There was an update to the My Disney Experience app this week and one of the new features allows guests to track Disney Dining Plan credits with the app!
The updated app will now show you how many meals and snack entitlements you have left in addition to how many refillable drink mugs you are entitled to and how many have been redeemed.
Since guests can already use the app to make or change Advance Dining Reservations and to order food via Mobile Order, the ability to track dining plan credits makes …

Bookings Available Now for Special Events at Epcot International Festival of the Arts

If you’re making plans to attend the first Epcot Festival of the Arts beginning in January, bookings for several select experiences are now open.
Guests can sign up for interactive workshops including a Gesture Drawing Class led by former Disney animator Todd Bright or a Story Telling Drawing class also from Mr. Bright.
Other workshops include watercolor painting, mixed media art, calligraphy, and floral arrangements. These Interactive Workshops are $39 plus tax and are offered Friday through Monday during the Festival.

Disney World Announces Passholder Gates for Annual Passholders

Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders can start using a specially designated gate to enter the Disney theme parks starting today.
These “Passholder” gates allow those with an Annual Pass to bypass the long holiday lines at the theme parks’ gates.
This new Annual Passholder benefit starts today and will run through the end of January according to Disney.
The special Passholder gates are a way for Disney to say “thanks” to its Annual Passholder during the busiest time of year for the theme parks.

If you’re visiting Disneyland Resort this holiday season you’ll want to check out the full slate of holiday merchandise at the parks.
The Festival of Holidays is in full swing and the merchandise including long- and short-sleeved shirts, a logo hat, and a special T-shirt just for Annual Passholders.

The Week in Disney News: Hurricane Matthew Closes Disney World, New Vacation Deals Announced, and More

Whew! What a week it’s been. For only the fourth time in its history, the Walt Disney World Resort closed all the theme parks in anticipation of a hurricane this week.
As Hurricane Matthew barreled toward Florida last last week the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs were closed at 5 p.m. Thursday and remained closed on Friday.
Disney also relocated hotel guests from several of the resort’s hotels including Fort Wilderness.
It was back to business as usual by 8 a.m. Saturday!
