‘World of Color’ Breakfast Announced at Disneyland during Rock Your Disney Side Event

Guests at the Rock Your Disney Side 24-hour party at Disneyland have a chance to enjoy a special late-night World of Color breakfast on May 24.
There are two breakfast options for guests during the Rock Your Disney Side event.
First, from 11:30 p.m. on May 23 until 1:30 a.m. on May 24 guests can have breakfast at the Wine Country Trattoria at Disney California Adventure. This meal includes reserved viewing for the 3 a.m. showing of World of Color.

First Look: Concept Art for Ariel’s Grotto at New Fantasyland

Today, we have concept art to show you of Ariel’s Grotto, a new meet and greet location coming to the New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom park.
As you can see from the photograph, visitors will be able to greet Ariel in her mermaid form, seated on a seashell throne. This new character location will be located at the base of the cliffs where Prince Eric’s Castle sits, but will be separate from the Little Mermaid attraction.

Walt Disney World Fantasyland Opening Set for December 6

Today, Disney announced that the grand opening celebration for the New Fantasyland will be held December 6 at Walt Disney World Resort.  On that day, several of the most anticipated new attractions will debut, including  Be Our Guest Restaurant, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Gaston’s Tavern, Bonjour! Village Gifts, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, and Ariel’s Grotto.
Although many new attractions will be open shortly, the Fantasyland Expansion will continue on through the next two years, with Princess Fairytale Hall opening next year, and the new thrill ride, Seven Dwarfs …

More Fantasyland Opening Dates Announced for 2012

The Fantasyland renovation at Walt Disney World is progressing nicely, with the opening of one of the two Dumbos in Storybook Circus, a brand new train station and The Barnstormer family-friendly coaster. Now, Disney has announced the next two phases in openings for this multi-year expansion.

Opening Timeframes Announced for Fantasyland Expansion

With the first phase of the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland Expansion opening just over a month ago, fans have been eagerly waiting to see when the next phases of the expansion will open to  Walt Disney World guests. This week, the Disney Parks Blog gave us a better idea of when we can expect these new additions, as they announced some opening timeframes for the new attractions.

Disneyland Restaurants and Pastry Chef Win Top Honors

For the last 36 years, the Southern California Restaurant Writers, Inc. have been selecting winners from south Santa Barbara to the border of Mexico for their annual awards, and Disneyland resort restaurants received top honors in 5 categories at their banquet held Sunday. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Marc Viallet (Disneyland Resort) received the supreme honor of being awarded Pastry Chef of the Year!
Other Disney restaurants that received awards included:
