Disney Channel is celebrating summer this month with its first-ever Flash Forward Weekend featuring futuristic episodes of several hit shows and a special edition of Teen Beach Movie.

Typhoon Lagoon Hosting Summertime Dance Party Inspired by Disney Channel’s ‘Teen Beach Movie’

As part of the ongoing Limited Time Magic at Disney Parks this summer, Typhoon Lagoon is set to host a groovy dance party inspired by the Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie. The dance party started June 24 and happens every day until September 1.

Disney Channel Renews ‘Austin & Ally’ and ‘Jessie’ for Third Seasons

Fans of the hit Disney Channel shows Austin & Ally and Jessie received some good news last week, as Disney announced that both shows have been officially renewed for a third season.
Both Jessie and Austin & Ally debuted in 2011, and have since gone on to become some of television’s most popular shows among kids and tweens, with Austin & Ally currently ranked as TV’s #1 show with Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, and Tweens 9-14. ‘Teen Beach Musical’ Coming to Disney Channel Next Year

A new Disney Channel Original Movie will be coming to the network next year.
Teen Beach Musical will star Maia Mitchell and Ross Lynch from Austin & Ally. In the film, Mitchell’s character must depart for boarding school, leaving her boyfriend (Lynch) behind. However, the pair end up transported to Ross’s favorite 1960’s beach musical and must figure out how to return to their normal lives. By interfering with the plot of the movie, however, their fate may be changed forever.

Disney Channel and Radio Disney Launching 5th Season of ‘N.B.T.’

Disney Channel and Radio Disney are searching for the next youth pop star, and they will be launching the fifth season of N.B.T. (Next Big Thing) this month in an effort to find a winner.
All of the contestants are between 12 and 17 and comprise various musical genres including R&B, pop and modern rock. Premiere Dates Set for ‘Dog With a Blog,’ Season 2 of ‘Austin & Ally’

Disney Channel fans have a lot to look forward to this fall. This week, Disney Channel announced the official premiere date of their new show Dog With a Blog, as well as the premiere date for Season 2 of the hit Disney Channel show Austin & Ally.

‘Teen Beach Musical’ Coming to Disney Channel Next Year

A new Disney Channel Original Movie, Teen Beach Musical, will be coming to the airwaves sometime in 2013.

Star Sighting: Rico Rodriguez and Sister Visit Disneyland Park

Rico Rodriguez, one of the stars from the hit ABC series Modern Family, visited Disneyland Park with his sister Raini Rodriguez recently. The brother and sister visited the park with several friends and family members, and managed to take a spin on the Mad Tea Party attraction while they were there.
Rico remains hard at work on his hit series, while sister Raini will make her debut with the new Disney Channel series Austin & Ally. The new comedy will premiere December 4.

New Disney Channel Comedy ‘Austin & Ally’ to Debut December 4

Disney Channel has announced that their newest comedy series, Austin & Ally, will debut on the channel on Sunday, December 4 at 8:00 PM EST/PST. The series follows two polar opposites: Austin, an outgoing musician/singer, and Ally, a shy but brilliant songwriter.
