Hong Kong Disneyland Celebrating Marvel Super Hero Summer

Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating the Marvel Super Hero Summer all season long.
Guests at the park can pick up their S.H.I.E.L.D. credentials at a select locations prior to embarking on missions, and they can also meet several Marvel Super Heroes.
At Captain America – A Hero’s Welcome guests can meet Captain America, and over at the Spider-Man Heroic Encounter they can meet Spider-Man.
Iron Man will be meeting guests at the Stark Expo.

New Activewear Line from Her Universe Inspired by Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media have announced a new collaboration with Her Universe that includes a new line of women’s activewear inspired by Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War.
The new line is set to launch at Kohl’s stores this month.
The collection features styles inspired by Black Widow, Iron Man, and Captain America and are tagged with “Be A Hero.” There are more than 30 pieces in this new collection including shirts, leggings, and more in sizes XS to 3X.

Disneyland’s Avengers Half Marathon Weekend Gets a New Name for 2016

runDisney’s Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend is getting a name change for 2016.
The new name is the 2016 Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend at the Disneyland Resort. This name means the Avengers are joining forces with more super heroes for the weekend.
In honor of the 75th anniversary of Captain America’s first appearance, the weekend’s 5K race will be the Captain America 5K. And, there’s also a Doctor Strange 10K during the race weekend.

Disney Consumer Products has announced the release of Playmation – the next step in the evolution of play.

Disney Consumer Products and Marvel Launch New Line of Merchandise Celebrating Real Life Heroes

Tomorrow is the day – Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters and Marvel has teamed with Disney Consumer Products to celebrate real life heroes with a new line of merchandise.
The merchandise was inspired by the Marvel super heroes and was created in collaboration with Entertainment Retail Enterprises. The new collection includes T-shirts, hats, drinkware, blankets, and more.

Spider-Man to Join the Marvel Universe Under New Deal with Sony Pictures and Marvel

After years of speculation it’s official – Spider-Man is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was announced this week that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios struck a deal and Spider-Man will make his first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in a Marvel film.  Then Sony will release the next Spider-Man franchise film on July 28, 2017.
While the official Marvel film hasn’t been announced, many are thinking Spider-Man will appear in Captain America: Civil War alongside Captain America and Iron Man, since he was an integral part of the comic book story line.

Marvel Studios Reveals ‘Phase 3’ of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Earlier this week fans of Marvel Studios were given a sneak peek at the films that will make up ‘Phase 3’ of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the films during a special event at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man are the first two films in this next cinematic phase. They are scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 1, 2015 and July 17, 2015 respectively.

runDisney has released the design of the inaugural Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon medals.
The race weekend takes place November 14-16 at the Disneyland Resort and includes the Avengers Super Heroes 5K, runDisney Kids Races, and the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon.
The medals for this new race weekend celebrate the heroes of Marvel and the team aspect of the Avengers.

Maleficent and Princess Merida to be Part of Disney Infinity 2.0

Disney’s most iconic villain and a Brave princess are set to join the roster of heroes and villanins in Disney Infinity’s 2.0 Edition.
Disney Interactive announced the addition of Maleficent and Princess Merida during a preview of Disney’s Maleficent. The live-action film opened nationwide on May 30 and stars Angelina Jolie in the title role.

The Avengers are assembling again – this time as part of Disney Infinity.
