Video: ‘Newsies’ Cast Gets Ready for 2012 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade

We’re just a few weeks away from the annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, which airs each year on Christmas morning. This year, among the parade’s performances will be the cast of Newsies on Broadway, who will take to Main Street U.S.A. in Walt Disney World to perform the show’s opening number, “Carrying the Banner.”

Santa Claus Arrives at Walt Disney World

Santa Claus has officially arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you’ll be able to catch him at several locations throughout the area. Santa’s Chalet, which opened November 18 at Downtown Disney, will operate from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. through the Thanksgiving holiday. Starting November 25, his hours will be extended from noon to 10 p.m. all the way until Christmas. Santa Goofy will then take over from December 25 until January 1, greeting guests from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

First List of Narrators for Epcot’s Christmas Candlelight Processional Released

Yesterday, we got our first glimpse of who will be telling the story of Christmas at Epcot Christmas Candlelight Processional during the 2011 holiday season.
Some familiar faces will return this year to participate in the beloved winter tradition, which intermingles traditional music with the telling of the Christmas story.  Featuring three choirs, a live orchestra, and the famed Voices of Liberty, the event also features a celebrity narrator each evening.

While holiday celebrations got underway at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World this past Monday, and taping for the annual Christmas Parade took place over the weekend, Disneyland Resort in California officially kicks off the holiday season this Friday, November 12.

Selena Gomez to Appear in Christmas Day Parade on ABC

Visitors to Disneyland Resort this weekend got an early Christmas surprise as they were treated to a performance by Selena Gomez!  The “Wizards of Waverly Place” star was on hand to film a segment for Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.  After singing “Winter Wonderland,” to the delight of her fans, Selena posed for a picture with Chip and Dale, decked out in their Christmas finest.
