Happy Easter to our fans! It’s been another busy week at the Walt Disney World Resort (and beyond) so let’s dive right in to this week’s news as we nosh on a chocolate bunny (ears first, of course).
The week started off with some huge news out of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! The much-anticipated Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is currently in “soft opening” and guests were lining up for hours last weekend just to get inside and order a Shrunken Zombie Head.

New D-Tech Me Figures Debuting During ‘Star Wars’ Weekends 2015

Two new D-Tech Me figurines are making their debut at this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests will be able to create a Jedi Knight or a TIE-Fighter pilot in addition to the other figurines including the Carbon-Freeze Me, Alderaan Princess, Stormtrooper, and X-Wing Pilots.
The D-Tech Me experience launched in 2012 and it’s a 10-minute experience using the world’s highest resolution, single-shot 3Dscanner. The image captured on the scanner is sent to a high resolution 3D printer that creates the figurines. Guests will receive their completed D-Tech Me …

New Options Available for D-Tech Me Experience at 2014 Star Wars Weekends

A popular fan experience at the Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting some exciting new options.
The D-Tech Me experience will be located inside Darth’s Mall during this year’s event. The D-Tech Me is a 10-minute experience that uses the world’s highest resolution, single shot 3D face scanner. The image captured by the scanner is used to create a figurine with the guest’s face.
This year’s D-Tech Me will feature the Carbon-Freeze Me and Stormtrooper, in addition to two new figures – Alderaan Princess and X-Wing Pilot.

D-Tech Me Experience Returns for Star Wars Weekends

If you ever wanted to be a Stormtrooper, now’s your chance. During this year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can once book a D-Tech Me Experience where their face is transferred onto a mini Stormtrooper figure.
Last year’s D-Tech Me introduced the Carbon Freeze Me experience, inspired by that fateful scene in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. This year guests can choose from the “cast yourself in carbonite” option or choose the new Stormtooper option.

D-Tech Me Princess experience officially open at Downtown Disney Marketplace

The new D-Tech Me Princess Experience opened this week at the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney Marketplace. This new interactive experience allows guests ages 3-12 to place their likeness on a three-dimensional 7-inch Disney Princess figurine.
During the 10-minute experience, several single-shot 3D face scanners instantly capture multiple angles of a guest’s face. The images are used to create the final princess figurine using a high resolution 3D printer. D-Tech Me Offering Disney Princess Figurines at Walt Disney World Resort

The D-Tech Me experience was launched as part of Star Wars Weekends back in May; guests could be “frozen” in carbonite using state of the art technology to freeze their likeness into a carbonite figurine.
Now, D-Tech Me will be expanding to include Disney Princess Figurines for guests ages 3-12.
