Main Street Electric Parade Leaving the Magic Kingdom on October 9

The iconic Main Street Electric Parade ends its run at the Magic Kingdom on October 9.
The popular nighttime parade is being sent to Disneyland for a “limited-time encore engagement.” Disneyland’s Paint the Night Parade – part of the Diamond Celebration – ends September 5.
This is leading to some serious online speculation that maybe just MAYBE the Magic Kingdom will get Paint the Night in exchange for the Main Street Electric Parade. It has been 20 years since Disneyland has seen the Main Street Electric Parade.

New Collectible Popcorn Buckets Coming to the Disney Parks

Earlier this week the Disney Parks were celebrating National Popcorn Day (yes, it’s a “holiday”) and announced new collectible popcorn buckets.
Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will soon be able to purchase a new lotus popcorn bucket that also lights up, turning into a luminary.
This lotus popcorn bucket won’t be available until “later this year” likely in conjunction with the opening of the Rivers of Light nighttime show later this spring. The show will feature lanterns and some of the concept art has features lotus blossoms.

Disneyland Resort Releases Holiday-Themed Decades Collection Merchandise

As the Diamond Celebration continues at Disneyland Resort, guests can add some holiday cheer to their Decades collection merchandise.
The new holiday-themed Decades collection merchandise debuts November 12 at the Disneyland Resort and will celebrate 60 years of holidays at the Disneyland.
The merchandise in the Holiday Decades collection includes an adult fleece, mugs with “D” handles, a set of kitchen towels, a deluxe print, an ornament, a pin, and an oval platter.
The oval platter features artwork inspired by holiday attractions, icons, and Disney characters from the Disneyland Resort.

D-Tech on Demand to Debut at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District this Week

Fans of D-Tech on Demand at the Marketplace Co-Op in Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort can now visit the West Coast version in Disneyland.
The new D-Tech on Demand location will open September 18 at D-Street in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort.
The new location will feature 10 new designs including art inspired by Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration and some selections from the WonderGroud Gallery artists including Jasmine Becket-Griffith and Jerrod Maruyama.

Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Planned for 17 Nights Starting September 25

Disneyland’s Halloween Time celebration is getting a Diamond Celebration makeover this year with 60th anniversary décor and entertainment.
The Halloween Time celebration kicks off September 11 and runs through November 1 with 17 nights of Mickey’s Halloween Party starting September 25.
This hard-ticket Halloween party will include the Diamond Celebration’s Paint the Night parade for the first time plus a new superhero-themed dance party at the Tomorrowland Terrace. The party also includes the Halloween Screams fireworks.
The fireworks are hosted by Jack Skellington and are presented exclusively for guests at Mickey’s Halloween Party. …
