Disney to Donate $2 Million to Hurricane Sandy Relief and Rebuilding Efforts

In light of the recent destruction to the Northeast that has occurred as a result of Hurricane Sandy, the Walt Disney Company announced this week that the company will be making a generous $2 million donation to support Hurricane Sandy relief and rebuilding.

Disney Makes Red Cross Donation for Earthquake Victims, Encourages Cast Members to Donate by Matching

Although Tokyo Disney Resort remains closed while the entire property undergoes a comprehensive safety inspection, Disney is doing its part to assist victims of the tragic Japan earthquake and resulting tsunami.
The company is making a donation of $2.5 million to the Red Cross in an effort to aide disaster relief.  In addition, the company is challenging its cast members to give as well:  for every dollar that cast members donate, Disney will match, dollar for dollar, up to an additional $1 million.
