Disneyland Paris to Celebrate 20th Anniversary with Revamped Parade and New Water Show

This year, Disneyland Paris will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, and some exciting new shows will arrive at the park as part of the celebration. The two nighttime shows, Disney Dreams and Disney Magic on Parade, will debut in April as the park marks its 20th year of operation.

Patricia Disney, Former Wife of Roy E. Disney, Passes Away

Patricia Disney, the former wife of Walt Disney’s nephew and longtime Disney senior executive Roy E. Disney, passed away yesterday. She was 77 years old and suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born in New Orleans, Disney was currently living in Toluca Lake, California, where she served as vice chairman of Shamrock Holdings, the investment company of the Roy E. Disney family. Disney had previously served as former regent of St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA, a past member of the board of the Peregrine Fund in Boise, ID, and a former trustee …

‘Chronicle’ Scribe Max Landis Sells Sci-Fi Film Pitch to Disney

Sources have reported that Chronicle scribe Max Landis recently sold an as-yet-untitled sci-fi film pitch to Disney, with Andrew Panay on board as a producer.
While the details about the film pitch are sketchy right now, it has been described as an “emotional journey of a brother and sister as they undertake an epic adventure.”

Full Cast Announced for Broadway Run of ‘Newsies’

We’re just a few short months from the Broadway opening of Newsies, and recently, Disney Theatrical Productions announced the full cast of talented performers that will be seen in the show. Many of the cast will be reprising their roles, after originally performing them in the show’s premiere at the Paper Mill Playhouse last fall.

Celebrate Lunar New Year at Disneyland Park This Week

Guests who visit Disneyland Park this week will enjoy an added bonus:  celebration of Lunar New Year!
The Happy Lunar New Year Celebration!, which began last Friday and will run through January 29, includes special dance and music performances and decorations befitting the holiday.  Extra character meet-and-greets will also take place in front of “It’s a Small World.”  Mulan, Mushu, and other Disney characters will help to ring in the New Year with guests.

New Wine Bar Coming to Epcot’s Italy Pavilion

Following the success of the uber popular La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion, Epcot has announced that an Italian-themed wine bar will be coming to the park later this year.
As part of the current renovation to the Italy Pavilion’s table service restaurant, Tutto Italia, Gusto Wine Bar will open April 28.  The brand new space will be adjacent to the restaurant, and will feature a look and feel reminiscent of an ancient Italian wine cellar, complete with stone floors and walls, with bricked arches throughout the space.  The …
