Disney Responds to Disabled ‘Black Market Guides’ Posing as Family Members

It has been two days since the New York Post published an article exposing the recent practice of New York haute monde hiring disabled “guides” to masquerade as family members during Walt Disney World vacations.
Why? So they can skip the lines at the parks.
Disney’s reaction has been brief but decisive. According to Disney spokesperson Bryan Malenius, Disney is investigating these and other, similar claims of guests abusing handicap considerations at the parks. As Malenius told CNN,
“It is unacceptable to abuse accommodations that were designed for guests with disabilities. […] …

Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts Honored for Support of Special Needs Guests

In recognition of their support of special needs guests, Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts was recently awarded the Gold Autism Award from the United Kingdom Autism Foundation. Established in 2000 to raise Autism awareness and help support the needs of those with autism in the United Kingdom, the foundation’s award was given to Disney as recognition for their efforts in supporting guests with autism and other special needs.
