D23 Celebrates the Holidays with the ’23 Days of Disney Christmas’ Online Art Exhibit and Sweepstakes

Just in time for the holiday season, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has brought back the 23 Days of Disney Christmas online art exhibit.
The collection features art contributed by artists from The Walt Disney Company including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Television Animation, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ Disney Design Group, Disney Consumer Products, and more.
The online exhibit opened December 3 and will run through the holidays. Each day D23.com will unveil a new piece of art that celebrates the holidays.

Festival of the Masters Showcases Unique Works of Art in Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney will soon be transformed into a showcase of art, photography, sculpture, and more at the 38th annual Festival of the Masters presented by Michaels.
The open-air festival features more than 300 artists who will be showcasing their works in photography, painting, sculpture, chalk, and glass. The exhibits include more than 130 award-winning artists and 20 up-and-coming Emerging Masters, the Disney Artist Village, and live performance artists.

‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ Themed Artwork Coming to Downtown Disney District

The Disney Gallery at Disneyland Park to Debut Fantasyland-Inspired Artwork

Next month, guests can immerse themselves in the wonders of Fantasyland with new artwork created by Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney-inspired artists.
The Disney Gallery on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park will feature a variety of Fantasyland-inspired art from Imagineers Brian Crosby, Jim Crouch and Jeremy Fulton. Artwork will also be available from artists Steve Adams, Jody Daily, Jeff Granito, Katie Kelly, Maggie Parr, Jimmy Pickering, George Scribner, Darren Wilson and Yakovetic.

Pop Artist Sean D’Anconia Selected to Debut Artwork at WonderGround Gallery Grand Opening

Up and coming pop artist Sean D’Anconia will be debuting his take on Mickey Mouse – Mousetown – at the grand opening of WonderGround Gallery at the Downtown Disney District this June.
D’Anconia joins a select group of artists who will be presenting their take on Disney classics at the grand opening of WonderGround, where opening day will include several tributes to Mickey Mouse as well as Pixar related artwork.

Merchandise Events Coming to Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland in May

There are several special merchandise events coming to Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park in May, so now would be a good time to clear some space on your calendar and make sure you’re at the park next month to experience these events for yourself.

Artist SHAG to be on Hand for Debut of His Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary Collection

‘Magic on the Water’ Exhibit Opens at Disneyland Tomorrow Morning

Guests to Disneyland will get the first chance to see a brand new exhibit tomorrow morning, as Magic on the Water:  The Art of the “Happiest Fleet on Earth” opens with the park at The Disney Gallery.

Anthrax Rocker Charlie Benante Designs a Vinylmation Figure for Disney

Legendary rock drummer Charlie Benante, of Anthrax fame, has a new gig with Mickey Mouse! In the past, Charlie has been involved with the art & graphic design of band album covers and t-shirts but this time he teamed up with Disney Product Developers Holli McHugh and Donald Ferro to create a unique Vinylmation figure. Charlie’s initial 9 inch figure features Mickey wrapped from head-to-toe in gauze-like material creating a mummy effect.
