Next month, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure will undergo some changes in an effort to make the ride more comfortable for guests. This will be the second ride in Cars Land to undergo renovations since its opening in June.

Film and television star Dylan McDermott made a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth last Friday, as he and his family headed to the Disneyland Resort to celebrate his daughter Charlotte’s seventh birthday.
“We’ve been coming [to the Disneyland Resort] for years – the girls get so excited,” McDermott said. “They know it’s the happiest place on Earth.”

As the summer crowds wind down at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, 10 attractions will be closing for renovations.
The longest closures will be Indiana Jones Adventure, Casey Jr. Circus Train and Storybook Land Canal Boats. These closures begin Tuesday, and will be closed through fall. Indiana Jones Adventure will reopen December 7 after improvements are made to enhance lighting, paint and other effects. Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train will both reopen November 15 after undergoing routine safety enhancements.

Disney California Adventure have launched an old-fashioned newspaper: The Buena Vista Bugle – as a way to give out information to guests. This concept of giving information to visitors was actually borrowed from Disneyland Park, which produced The Disneyland News beginning in 1955.

Thanks to Blue Sky Disney, we found this thoroughly enjoyable conversation between Business Week and the Man at the Top himself.  Though a rather brief conversation, the interview takes place in context of touring the park, and touches on many of the current expansion moves underway within Disney.

Singer Sheryl Crow recently stopped by Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land with her sons Wyatt and Levi. The trio posed for a photograph, and you’d be hard pressed to tell which of them seems more excited about exploring Radiator Springs!
For those of you who are fans of the Cars film, you may remember that Crow performed the opening song “Real Gone” from the film, so I am sure walking through Cars Land was a real treat for Sheryl and her boys.
