Minnie’s Moonlit Madness and a Day at the Beach Community Outreach Events

Disney cast members presented the Orange County’s Pacific Symphony with a check for $5,000. The money was raised during an annual cast-member charity event called Minnie’s Moonlit Madness.
A cast member favorite, Minnie’s Moonlit Madness is a trivia-game-cum-scavenger-hunt in Disneyland where teams of four must complete a list of 10 assignments before midnight. The catch: all teams of four are tied together with rope! Disney Makes Donation to Toys for Tots for the Holidays, Ends 2012 With More Than $292 Million in Donations

A few weeks ago, we let you know about how Disney and its wonderful VoluntEARS donated both toys and their time to the charity Toys for Tots this holiday season. In addition to this generous donation, Disney also announced recently that the company donated $150,000 to the US Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Foundation.
Of the $150,000 that was donated to the organization, which collects new toys and distributes them to less than fortunate children, $100,000 was specifically allocated to help children that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. In addition …

Disney VoluntEARS Build Mater at Orange County CANstruction Event

This month, Disney VoluntEARS in California donated their time at the Orange County CANstruction event, where they built a sculpture of Mater himself out of 5,700 cans donated by the Disneyland Resort. This is Disney’s fifth year participating in the event, and the group was rewarded with the “Juror’s Favorite” award.

Disney Donates $1 Million to American Red Cross for National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month, and Disney is recognizing the occasion with a new initiative with the American Red Cross. This month, Disney built upon its long relationship with the Red Cross by donating $1 million to the charity as part of their annual disaster giving program.

Disneyland Donates Lightning McQueen Power Wheels to Local Nonprofits

Children at ten nonprofits in Southern California recently got a dose of Disney magic, thanks to a recent donation by the Disneyland Resort. This week, Disneyland donated thirty of their special Lightning McQueen Power Wheels to the local nonprofits, which include the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Orange County Ronald McDonald House, and the Anaheim Family YMCA.

Disney Allocates $1.2 Million For Local Children’s Charities

Disney’s “Helping Kids Shine” grant is ready to distribute $1.2 Million to 57 different children’s charities throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Polk counties in Florida.
