Mickey Mouse’s Face Begins to Take Shape on New “Disney Dream” Ship

The Disney Cruise Line is still 145 days away from the maiden voyage of its latest gem, the “Disney Dream,” into their fleet of luxuriously fun ships. We’ve been following the construction and design progress of the “Dream” since the beginning and some really exciting things are starting to take shape! Today, the Disney Parks Blog released a photo showing the foundation to a very popular element aboard the Disney cruise ships – a Mickey Mouse pool!

Introducing Marco Nogara, Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Captain

Christi Erwin Donnan, Manager of Public Affairs for the Disney Cruise Line, announced the latest Captain to join Disney’s fleet of cruise ships today. Marco Nogara is a native of Venice, Italy and becomes the 6th captain to join an elite group of Masters aboard the Disney Cruise Line boats. Mr. Nogara will train to familiarize himself with the shipboard and shoreside operations at Disney & eventually take the wheel as a Captain in December.

Exclusive Disney Cruise Line Restaurant, Remy, Announced

Disney Cruise Line has announced a brand new, exclusive dining experience that will be unveiled on the line’s newest ship, the Disney Dream, when it sails in 2011.
Remy, an adults-only dining experience, will offer gourmet cuisine on the high seas. With 9-course meals, 15 dedicated chefs, and the option to book a Chef’s Table, this is essentially Victoria and Albert’s on a boat.

Interactive Components to Disney Dream Cruise Ship

We’ve heard about the incredible “virtual portholes” on Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Dream, scheduled to sail in 2011, but there are several other interactive components to the ship.
