Disney Dreamers and Doers Crown Fifteen ‘Shining Stars’

Earlier this week, fifteen special students were visited by everyone’s favorite Mouse – right in the middle of their school day; Mickey Mouse and the Walt Disney World prize patrol were up to something good.
The reason for the visits?  Disney has been hard at work, selecting 400 students as 2011 Disney Dreamers and Doers from a large field of applications submitted for students across all of Central Florida.  Out of the 400 students selected to receive this distinction, 15 students were crowned Shining Stars – the absolute top students among …

Disney Allocates $1.2 Million For Local Children’s Charities

Disney’s “Helping Kids Shine” grant is ready to distribute $1.2 Million to 57 different children’s charities throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Polk counties in Florida. During a week-long traveling celebration Disney plans on recognizing & rewarding the money to local non-profits and organizations that share Disney’s commitment to building better futures for local children.
