Disney Announces New Vacation Package for Early 2018

Disney has announced a new vacation package for early 2018 dates and this package is the popular “Play, Stay, and Dine” offer.
The vacation package includes: a resort hotel room, theme park tickets, and the Disney Dining Plan (Quick Service Dining at Value Resorts and Standard Dining Plan at the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts).
The savings are based on a sample package based on two adults, one junior (ages 10 to 17) and one child (ages 3 to 9) for a 5-night/6-day room and ticket package.

Disney Parks Offering Romantic Dinners at Select Restaurants for True Love Week

As part of their Limited Time Magic promotion, both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will be offering romantic meals for two at select restaurants during True Love Week.
From February 11 to 17, several restaurants will feature prix fixe menus so you and your sweetie can enjoy a memorable Valentine’s meal. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Officially Opens to Guests

This week, Walt Disney World celebrated an exciting new development, as their newest resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, officially opened to guests. The resort, which is considered one of Disney’s “value” resorts, celebrates animation in its whimsical theme and immerses guests in the worlds of some of their favorite animated Disney and Pixar films.
“Our goal was to make guests feel like they have been immersed in the artistry and enchantment of Walt Disney and Disney•Pixar animated classics,” said Walt Disney Imagineer Frank Paris.

Walt Disney World Helps ‘Clean the World’

Orlando-based group Clean the World, which collects, sanitizes and re-packages discarded hotel soaps and shampoos to be distributed to impoverished countries, is getting a lot of help from Walt Disney World.
The resort has been a part of the group since 2010, but Clean the World has recently expanded their efforts to include soaps and shampoos from Disney hotels in California and Hawaii.
In two years, Disney has collected 53 tons of soap for Clean the World and more than 33 tons of bottled shampoos and lotions. After being sanitized and re-packaged, …

New Channel Line Up Coming to Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Thanks to our friends at WDW Magic for alerting us to this news item!  Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels will enjoy a much more robust cable TV channel offering in the coming months.
Beginning March 13, the property will introduce many new channels to the current basic block of offerings in the resort hotels.  New additions to the channel lineup will include the following:

Food Network
Fox News
History Channel
National Geographic
Travel Channel
TV Land

Four Seasons Hotel at Walt Disney World Finally Set to Begin Construction

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced yesterday that construction was set by the end of the year on its long-anticipated Walt Disney World Resort project.
The luxury resort, which will include hotel rooms, timeshare units, and private residences, was originally slated for completion in 2012.  However, the project stalled due to the sluggish economy and ensuing global recession.  The Four Seasons company, which is based in Toronto, originally purchased the land for the resort in 2008.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Achieves AAA Four-Diamond Status

After celebrating its 10th anniversary earlier this month, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge now has something else to smile about – being awarded AAA Four-Diamond status.

More on Disney Hotels and Priceline Agreement

Last week, we brought you news that Disney would begin offering hotel rooms on Priceline.com, the popular online travel booking website.  This week, more details regarding the agreement are being made available.

Animal Kingdom Lodge to Charge $30 Premium for Arusha Savanna Views

According to AKLResort.com, Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will begin charging a per night premium fee for one of its most popular views.
With four savannas housing dozens of species of African animals, the resort is a major draw for Disney World guests.
