“Sonny With A Chance” to Continue Without Demi Lovato – Temporarily

Producers of Demi Lovato’s show “Sonny with a Chance” have come up with a win/win situation for the actress while she is on a self-imposed break, seeking therapy for personal issues.
The popular Disney Channel sitcom, which centers around a show-within-a-show called “So Random!” will  focus more attention on the “So Random!” storyline, and will include more musical numbers, guest stars, and comedy sketches.  “So Random!” will, in effect, take over for “Sonny with a Chance” in the meantime.

Disney Junior Hits Airwaves February 2011

After more than a decade of dabbling in educational television around the world, Disney is making a serious move to create its own niche in preschool programming.  Disney Junior is set to launch on the Disney Channel in February 2011. 
Interesting to note, however, will be the absence clear academic goals in the service’s new offerings.  Disney will instead focus on strong storytelling tradition and teaching social skills – a move that Disney states is a direct result of internal market research with mothers of preschoolers.
