20th Annual International Flower and Garden Festival Underway at Epcot

Gardeners and Foodies alike have plenty to smile about, as the 20th Annual International Flower and Garden Festival got underway recently. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to visit the Festival and take in all the sights, sounds, and yes, flavors of the 2013 event. There’s plenty to show you, so let’s get going!

Lotso the Bear and Other Final Topiaries Installed at Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival

If you are a topiary junkie like I am, then you will be over the moon to know that Lotso, that strawberry-scented “Toy Story 3” bad guy has arrived at Epcot!
The massive topiary was installed to welcome guests to the 18th Annual Flower and Garden Festival.  He now stands proudly, waving with his good-natured (and oh so deceptive) happy grin to bid a happy hello to visitors, from the large bed at the front of the park, which serves as the gateway to Futureworld.

Eighteenth Annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Kicks Off with HGTV Personalities

Just in case you didn’t know, Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival kicked off this week.  This year, everyone’s other favorite Epcot festival promises to be even more special, as HGTV has taken a sponsorship role. 
This weekend, March 4-6, Genevieve Gorder will be on hand during Epcot’s special HGTV Designer Presentation series.  Gorder, star of “Dear Genevieve,” is also a judge on the reality series “HGTV Design Star.”  She will present “The Art of Sculpting Space” each day, March 4-6, at noon, and again at 3 p.m.

Star Sighting:  ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Tony Dovolani Romances Belle

Tony Dovolani, one of the featured dancers on the ABC hit series “Dancing with the Stars” tripped the light fantastic with Belle from Beauty and the Beast yesterday at Walt Disney World’s Epcot.  The two shared a number in World Showcase, as, appropriately, Lumiere and Mrs. Potts in topiary form looked on.

New Topiaries in Store for Epcot’s 18th Annual Flower and Garden Festival

We may all be shivering in our boots right now as the dark, chilly days of winter are hard upon us.  But spring will be here before we know it, and with it, the return of sunshine, longer days, and the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival.
During the special event, Epcot becomes a gardener’s delight of seasonal blooms, gardening seminars and demonstrations – and even “flower power” music.  But one of the most popular features are the more than 100 topiaries that grace the grounds during the festival.

Walt Disney World Releases Dates For the 2011 “Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival”

Halloween hasn’t even tinged the air with orange candy corn or goblins yet & we’re already looking forward to Spring blooms! Disney is releasing some early information about the 18th annual “EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival” which is scheduled to take place March 2 through May 15, 2011 at Walt Disney World. Guests who plan on visiting during the popular event are encouraged to make plans early as EPCOT is usually the place to be when Spring’s brilliant blooms come alive!
