Other Disney Ventures Ultimately Bring Visitors to Parks, Weiss Says

At a Disney-organized event last week, Al Weiss, president of worldwide operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, explained to attendees that non-park projects are expected to draw new-to-Disney guests to the parks.  Says Weiss, “By creating memories for guests in a different category of travel, guests are more inclined to book a trip to Orlando.”

Disney Exec Doesn’t Expect Soaring Gas Prices to Hinder Recovery

Jay Rasulo does not expect the upturn in gas prices to mean a downturn in the number of guests flocking to Disney Parks.
During a conference organized by Credit Suisse yesterday, Disney’s chief financial officer said that it takes more than high gas prices to deter travelers from making Disney their destination of choice:
