Miss Fortune Falls Coming to Typhoon Lagoon in 2017

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is getting a brand new attraction in the spring of 2017.
Miss Fortune Falls is a family-style raft ride that will take guests on a white-water adventure through Captain Mary Oceanear’s past.
According to legend, Captain Oceanear was a treasure-hunting heroine who traveled the world collecting artifacts before being stranded at Typhoon Lagoon.
The two-minute long ride is the lengthiest attraction at the Disney Water Parks.
Guests will board a family-style raft, ascending to the top of the attraction before plunging into the white water adventure.

Tickets for 2014 Night of Joy at the Walt Disney World Resort on Sale Now

Tickets for the 2014 Night of Joy event at the Walt Disney World Resort are now on sale.
The event is scheduled for Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6 at the Magic Kingdom and it features some of the top names in Christian music.

“Beachcomber Shack” and “Polar Patio” Rentals at Walt Disney World Water Parks Provide Spot to ‘Chill’

Walt Disney World guests have a unique place to ‘chill’ when they visit the resort’s two popular water parks; Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach. Day-long premium rentals of “Beachcomber Shacks” and “Polar Patios” accommodate up to six guests and have initially proven very popular, selling out within an hour of park opening. The rentals provide over-head shelter, upscale Adirondack seating, towels, a locker, beverages to quench a whole days’ thirst, and a service attendant who takes orders & delivers food from an a-la-carte menu.

Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon Hosts “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson”

On June 4th over 500 guests at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park participated in a record breaking “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson” event. The 30 minute lesson was taking place simultaneously on four continents with over 10,000 participants worldwide. Swimmers of all ages & varying skill levels joined in at the Typhoon Lagoon location which featured Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy to kick off the lesson.
