Registration Opens for Toy Story Land Passholder Playtime

Registration has opened for select Annual Passholders for the Toy Story Land Passholder Playtime.
Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Passholders should have received an email today with information on how to register for the Passholder Playtime event in September.
Select dates are available throughout the month of September with time slots from 7-8 a.m. and 8-9 a.m., with registered Passholders choosing their preferred date and time slot.
Reservations are available on a first come, first served basis.

New Florida Resident Annual Pass Announced for Disney World

Florida residents have a new option when purchasing their Annual Passes for Walt Disney World Resort – the Theme Park Select Pass.
This pass gives Passholders the ability to enjoy up to 325 days at select theme parks and at least 175 days at all four theme parks.
The blackout dates for the Theme Park Select Pass are currently:

Magic Kingdom on Saturdays
Epcot on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
Multiple theme parks during runDisney events

Disney may lift blackout dates from time to time.

Play Disney Parks App Debuts June 30 at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

The Play Disney Parks app is debuting this weekend – June 30 – at both Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resort.
The app is available now for pre-order at the App Store and Google Play.
When it goes live on June 30 guests at Disneyland and Disney World will “turn wait time into play time with all-new interactive experiences and activities created for select attraction queues.”
Attraction queue activities include: “Playset Party” for Toy Story Mania, “Off to Neverland” for Peter Pan’s Flight, “Rocket Race” in Space Mountain, and  “Andy’s Boardgame Blast” …

Disney World’s Dog-Friendly Hotels Policy Likely to End in October

Last fall the Walt Disney World Resort started a pilot program that allowed guests to bring their dogs to stay in their hotel room at four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.
Now it appears – based on a date on the official Walt Disney World Resort website – that the pilot program is ending on October 15, 2018.
The “Dog-Friendly Disney Resorts” page says: “This pilot program is currently available to Guests with reservations at these Disney Resort hotels now through October 15, 2018 as part of a test.”

New Attraction-Themed Coke Bottles Arrive at Disney Parks

If you’re a fan of the fun Disney-themed Coke bottles that have been at the Disney Parks for the past couple of years, you’re going to love the new attraction-themed bottles.
The new bottles including a Coke bottle for the Haunted Mansion, a Diet Coke in Tomorrowland, and a Coke Zero Sugar at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Our friends at the Disney Food Blog also spotted a Jungle Cruise bottle in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom.
All bottles are available in both Disney World and Disneyland.

Dates Announced for Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom

Disney After Hours is returning to the Magic Kingdom this summer!
The Disney After Hours event is a ticketed event where guests can enjoy select attractions at the Magic Kingdom, fireworks, and more.
The dates for the summer of 2018 Disney After Hours are:

Thursday, June 28, from 10 p.m.- 1 a.m.
Saturday, June 30, from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Saturday, July 7, from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

New Play Disney Parks App Coming this Summer

A brand new, interactive Play Disney Parks app is coming to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland this summer.
The app – which will be available for iOS and Android – will allow guests to “play in the parks like never before,” according to Disney.
Guests will be able to use the app to access exclusive experiences at Disney World and Disneyland through activities that interact with the surrounding environment.
And, according to Disney’s description, the more you play the more you’ll discover via the app.

Check Out the Merchandise for the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side

If you’re running the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side this weekend at Disney World, there’s a new slate of commemorative merchandise.
Merchandise includes short and long sleeved shirts, tank tops, jackets and accessories – for all races including the half marathon, 10K, 5K, and Kids’ Races.
There’s also a slate of merchandise for runners participating in the Star Wars First Order Challenge – which includes the 10K and half marathon for 19.3 miles.
Additional items include Star Wars lifestyle apparel, commemorative Stormtrooper and BB-8 figurines, and specialty shoe ornaments.

Pirates of the Caribbean Reopens with New Auction Scene

Pirates of the Caribbean has reopened at the Magic Kingdom and a popular scene on the attraction has changed.
The auction scene was recently updated and now features an auction of the townspeople’s good, which were stolen by the pirates.
The Redhead who was part of the iconic original auction scene is now a pirate named Redd who, according to the description, has “just pillaged the town’s rum supply and has something to say about it.”
Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland will also be updated in the same manner with work starting …
