Disneyland Resort Offering Souvenir Glasses for Passholders

The Disneyland Resort is awarding Annual Passholders with the opportunity to purchase special limited edition souvenir glasses when they spend $40 or more on merchandise in the parks.
Each glass features a popular character, with a new glass being released each month. At the end of the month, the glasses are retired and a new glass is revealed. The Minnie Mouse glass went on sale October 9, with a new glass to follow at the beginning of each month until February. The Pluto glass will be the next one available, followed …

Disneyland Resort Hosts CHOC Walk

Over the weekend, thousands of people came through Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Park in support of the 22nd Annual Children’s Hospital of Orange County Walk, which helps raise awareness and support services, research and education at the hospital.
Those who attended the CHOC Walk were there for a variety of reasons: remembering those who have passed, seeking support for children undergoing treatment or coming to support the hospital that saved their child’s life. Disney Villains Get Special Halloween Area at Disneyland Park

For the first time, Disneyland Park has added a special tent specifically for Disney Villains during a brand new Halloween carnival for the holiday season.
Located in Frontierland, the Halloween carnival tent will allow guests to use magic wands and conjure various villains who will appear in a cloud of smoke  through a secret door. Once the villain appears, guests will be able to meet the characters, take photos, get autographs and have some fun conversations with Disney’s wickedest characters around. New Halloween Carnival to Debut at Disneyland’s Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree

Halloween is always an exciting season at Disneyland, as the park is transformed with decorations, re-themed attractions and other festive touches, and this year, there will be a brand-new experience to add to the celebration. Disneyland Park’s Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree will be getting a special Halloween Carnival this fall, featuring special entertainment, food, characters, and more.

10 Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Attractions Closing for Renovatons

As the summer crowds wind down at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, 10 attractions will be closing for renovations.
The longest closures will be Indiana Jones Adventure, Casey Jr. Circus Train and Storybook Land Canal Boats. These closures begin Tuesday, and will be closed through fall. Indiana Jones Adventure will reopen December 7 after improvements are made to enhance lighting, paint and other effects. Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train will both reopen November 15 after undergoing routine safety enhancements.

Disney California Adventure Launches Old-Fashioned Newspaper

Disney California Adventure have launched an old-fashioned newspaper: The Buena Vista Bugle – as a way to give out information to guests. This concept of giving information to visitors was actually borrowed from Disneyland Park, which produced The Disneyland News beginning in 1955.

Concept Art Revealed for Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire

Disneyland’s current Princess Fantasy Faire will be closing August 12, but now Walt Disney Imagineers have released concept art for the new Royal Hall at Fantasy Faire where you’ll be able to meet your favorite Disney princesses in their new home.

The Pirates League Heads to Disneyland Next Month

The Pirates League at Disneyland park has plans to move ashore for even more fun this fall. They’ll be heading to Court of Angels in New Orleans Square to offer this exciting experience to even more guests. Previously, this experience was only available at Walt Disney World Resort and, more recently, aboard the Disney Fantasy.

Disneyland’s Tinker Bell Half Marathon Sold Out

Less than one month after registration opened, Disneyland’s Tinker Bell Half Marathon has sold out.
Registration opened June 12, but closed last Wednesday after 14,000 people signed up for the second annual race at Disneyland park. Despite regular slots being gone, runners can still sign up for the marathon through charity teams and tour groups. Additionally, spots are still available for the Family Fun Run 5k and kids’ races.
Sources say that this has been one of the fastest sell-outs for a California Disney race so far.

Disneyland Resort Announces July 4 Special Events

If you plan on celebrating July 4 at the Disneyland Resort, you’re in luck. The resort has plenty of special events and a fireworks spectacular to help you celebrate Independence Day in a fun and exciting way.
