Disneyland Resort Announces Special Merchandise Events for June 2014

Just in time for Father’s Day shopping, the Disneyland Resort has announced the June merchandise events.
On June 7, representatives from Goorin Bros. will be at D Street in the Downtown Disney District from 1-4 p.m., giving guests a chance to find the perfect headwear for Dad. Also on June 7, guests can meet artist SHAG at WonderGround Gallery from 5-7 p.m. He’ll be debuting his latest art, “Morning in the Magic Kingdom.”

January Merchandise Events Announced for Disneyland Resort

The New Year is just around the corner, and the Disneyland Resort has announced the special merchandise events planned for January.
The month starts out with a showing of Erin Leong’s latest releases at the WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District on January 4-5 from 1-4 p.m. each day. Erin is a California Bay Area artist and animator and her work blends styles inspired by fashion, film, and dance.

Hollywood Producer Jerry Bruckheimer to Appear at a Book Signing at Disneyland Park

Fans of award-winning producer Jerry Bruckheimer have a chance to meet him at a special book signing at the Disneyland Park on December 14.
Bruckheimer will be signing copies of the new book Jerry Bruckheimer: When Lightning Strikes | Four Decades of Filmmaking by Michael Singer. The coffee table book showcases 40 years of Bruckheimer’s career in movies and television including his work hit movies such as Beverly Hills Cop, Armageddon, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Social Media All Stars Are Showing Their Disney Side at Disneyland Park Today

Today at Disneyland, a group of social media all stars will have a chance to show their Disney Side in front of a live audience.
The guests of honor will debut their YouTube and Vine videos and Instagram photos to a group of invited guests at the Social Media All Stars #DisneySide World Premiere. Fans who were invited to the event will get a chance to meet the social media stars in a private meet-and-greet after the show.

Limited Time Magic Includes Backstage Tour of Disney’s Animal Kingdom

This week’s Limited Time Magic event is another exclusive backstage tour, and this time the chosen few will be going behind-the-scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Each afternoon this week a group of 25 guests will get a walking tour of the Animal Kingdom, including a tour of the backstage animal housing and the state-of-the-art animal care center.

Fantasy Faire Opening March 12 at Disneyland Park

New details about Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire have been revealed, including the official opening date: March 12, 2013 to be exact!
One of the biggest features of Fantasy Faire will be the Royal Theatre. At the theatre, two Renaissance Storytellers – Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones – will treat visitors to two unique stories based on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.

Disneyland Park Prepares for ‘New Orleans Bayou Bash’

As part of their “Limited Time Magic”  event, Disneyland park will be bringing a party to New Orleans Square – the New Orleans Bayou Bash, to be exact!

Disneyland Photographs Multiday Pass Holders to Crack Down On Ticket Abuse

Employees at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are continuing to crack down on multiday ticket abuse by photographing visitors who use the tickets, sources say.
On Tuesday, parkgoers said they were delayed entrance to the parks by 45 minutes due to the photographing. However, Disneyland officials denied that there was any significant delay to guests, saying that only the multiday pass holders were photographed.
The new process is the next step in Disney’s efforts to crack down on ticket brokers, who buy multiday passes then “rent” them to guests for individual days. …

Disneyland Park Begins $4 Million Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Renovation

In December, we told you that Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would be closing this month for a major renovation. Now, crews are beginning to prepare for the overhaul, which will cost an estimated $4 million. This is the first major refurbishment of the attraction in more than three decades.
On Monday, Big Thunder Mountain will close and remain closed for at least nine months. Crews will add new ride vehicles, repaint sections of the mountain and replace old track – however, the route will remain the same. Additionally, workers will make …

Celebrate Three Kings Day at Disneyland Park

For the second year in a row, the Three Kings Day celebration (or Día de los Reyes Magos) will return to Disneyland park.
The celebration will be moved to Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree, and feature Mariachi performers, festive Disney characters and fun food, dancing and entertainment. Children can also participate in the excitement with face painting, crafts and coloring.
The festival is slated to run January 4-6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The full schedule of performers includes:
